Meet at the High Point Way TH in the paved parking lot at 8:30 a.m. ready to hike. You will need a Discover Pass to park your car. I will meet the group at the TH, but others can arrange carpools if they would like. Please be prepared to begin the hike at 8:30.
We will take the challenging route up the Nook and Section Line trails. Once at the top of West Tiger No. 3, if we feel up to it we can hike partway to West Tiger No. 2 and cutoff on the Seattle View trail and begin our descent via the West Tiger RR trail back to the main West Tiger No. 3 trail and back to the TH.
Weather conditions have been so wet lately that this course may be altered. My goal is to do at least 6 miles, but add on an additional 2 miles if it isn't too muddy.
We may get a cold spell between this posting and Feb. 7th, so don't forget microspikes, hiking poles, extra clothing and good raingear, in addition to the 10 essentials.
