West Tiger Mountain 1-2-3

Day Hike - West Tiger Mountain 1-2-3

Let's do a loop hike at a moderate pace.

COVID-19: Learn about our most up-to-date guidance for participants and leaders on our COVID-19 Response page. All participants and leaders must agree to the COVID-19 Code of Conduct before participating in this Mountaineers activity.
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 9.52 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,800 ft
  • Pace: 2 mph

We'll meet at the trailhead by the parking lot at 7:45 am sharp. Boots on the trail at 8 am after introductions.

Getting There

From Seattle, take I-90 east to exit 20 for High Point Way. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right at the stop sign and then immediately turn right again. You will now be traveling west, paralleling I-90 on your right. Travel another half mile or so through a gate and along a paved road, before coming to the official DNR parking lot.

DISCOVER PASS is required to park in the lot.

We will follow standard marked trails and plan to head towards Tiger 1 along  Tiger Mountain Trail and Preston Trail. Depending on conditions and group consensus, we can then hit Tiger 2 and Tiger 3 and return via  West Tiger 3 trail. We'll follow standard COVID protocol and practice masking/face covering and physical distancing of at least 6 feet. Sections of the trails may be muddy and wet, so please wear waterproof boots. Expect a moderate pace with breaks. I expect that we will keep together at all times.

I will send a GPX file of intended route along with Hello Hiker email the week of the hike.
