  • Moderate/Strenuous

  • Mileage: 8.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,800 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,948 ft
  • Pace: 2.0-2.5

We will meet at the High Point TH at 9:00 a.m.  The leader will meet the group at the TH, but others can carpool if they would like. Either way, please be at the TH and ready to hike at 9:00. This hike will take place rain or shine.

The hike will take the Tiger Mtn. Trail (TMT) all the way to Fred's Corner (and cross the beautiful Murat's bridge). Taking a connector trail up to the hiker's hut where we will stop for lunch. Then we'll head over to No. 2 and No. 3, taking the West Tiger Trail back down to the parking lot.

This hike is tougher than it sounds, especially from Fred's Corner to the summit of No. 1. Please be properly conditioned to do this elevation gain and distance at a moderate (2.0-2.5) pace.

Because the weather is hard to predict this time of year, both Microspikes and hiking poles are required on this hike. The leader will send out a weather update two days before the hike.  Don't forget the 10 Essentials, boots with good traction, rain gear & warm clothing, and lunch/snacks.
