West Tiger Mountain 1-2-3

Day Hike - West Tiger Mountain 1-2-3

Join the Tacoma Hiking and Backpacking Committee for a conditioning type of hike. We will go to summits of West Tiger 3, then 2 and lastly to the hiker hut on 1 but not all the way to summit. Good veiw from the hiker hut after a nice conditioning hike up. Going back down is fun and we can all socialize!

2 meeting places -

1. 7:45am at the South Federal Way Park and Ride for those in the south sound, just off of I-5 at exit 142.

2.  8:45 am at the High Point Trailhead to West Tiger Mountain, just off I-90, exit 20.

Let's all be ready to hike at 9am.  We will start at the High Point Trailhead parking lot and hike up to the summit of West Tiger 3 using the un-maintained Nook Trail which is is so well traveled that it is hard to believe it is un-maintained.  Then travel to West Tiger 2 summit and proceed to the hiker Hut on West Tiger 1. We either rest, eat, and enjoy the view from the hut area or sit in the hiker hut for our rest if it is rainy.   Then we will travel back to West Tiger 3 but from there use the longer, more gentle West Tiger  3 Trail back down to the trailhead parking lot.
