WINTER CONDITIONING HIKE. Open to all Mountaineers members! A loop trip – hike to West Tiger 3 (via Bus, Nook, & Section Line Trails), continuing on to Tiger 2 and Tiger 1, then returning via West Tiger 3 Main Trail

Meet 9:00 AM at the Tradition Plateau Trailhead parking lot.  From Interstate 90, take Exit 20 for High Point, and turn right (south) on 270th Ave SE.  Just a few yards south of I-90, turn right (west) onto SE 79th St.  The pavement ends in 0.4 miles, where you continue through a gate about 0.5 miles to the parking lot.

This hike is part of the Winter Conditioning Hike Series hosted by the Foothills branch.  It is open to all Mountaineer members.   

We will start at the Tradition Plateau Trailhead and hike up to West Tiger 3 via the Bus Trail, to the Nook Trail, to the Connector Trail, to the Section Line Trail (which is no longer maintained), to the summit of West Tiger 3.  From there, we will continue on to West Tiger 2 and West Tiger 1, with consideration to weather and group preference.   

We will hike rain or shine, so good rain gear, non-cotton layers, warm hat/gloves, and sturdy waterproof footwear are required.  Additionally, there may be snow and ice, so MICROSPIKES and TREKKING POLES are also REQUIRED.
