Day Hike - West Tiger Mountain 1-2-3
This is no joke! Enjoy the solace of a big 3-summit "choose your own adventure" loop, starting up the TMT from Tradition Lake trailhead, over to Dwight/Preston Trail up briskly to West Tiger 1, traverse to 2 and 3, and descend Section to the RR grade to W. Tiger 3 until we branch off to Talus Rocks. Get a workout, some solace of back-trails, and have time for errands or work in the afternoon.

The route will include a flat-ish warmup on TMT heading east to the Dwight/Preston Trail where we'll climb steeply and briskly to West Tiger 1 first - be prepared to get breathless! We'll enjoy a short break to catch our breath, then stroll over to Tiger 2 and Tiger 3, where we'll add a few sensory pauses for birds, sun breaks, views, and more. This will be a reverse of the 2/18 hike but we'll add Talus Rocks and more time on the TMT. Learn more about "choosing your own adventure" on Tiger.
The descent will take us down the upper part of Section ("unmaintained" but in good shape) to the RR grade, where we'll shift east once again and catch West Tiger 3 very briefly before continuing down past Talus Rocks in a giant loop, avoiding most of the other Tuesday morning conditioners.
The goal is to combine a workout on the upward part and some mind-healing communing with nature/conversation on the way down. The best of both worlds. Come try it with me!
