Foothills Winter Conditioning Hike, open to all branches! A loop hike to West Tigers 1 & 2 with hopefully great views from Mt Baker to Si

9am I-90 Exit 20, intersection of 270th Ave (High Point Way) and 79th St

Winter Conditioning Hike hosted by Foothills Branch but open members of all branches! 

Starting from the gated road at the Exit 20 intersection walk the road to the trailhead at High Point Pond. Hike across a massive high new bridge, and then up the steep K3 and Tiger Mountain Trails (1400 feet in a little over 1 mile) to the summit of West Tiger 2. Walk a road to West Tiger 1's Hiker Hut viewpoint for a view of Mt. Rainier. Continue up and over  summit of WT1 to another even better viewpoint along the ridge: Mt. Baker to Mount Si, Lake Sammamish & Washington, Bellevue & Seattle, Olympics, Puget Sound. We will hike down other trails to complete the big loop.

 

Please be able to hike up to 2.5 mph uphill and 3 mph downhill.
