4:30 PM at I-90 Exit 20
Steve LeBrun will be co-leading/mentoring on this hike. Take a right (south) at exit 20 and then another right, we’ll meet right there after the right turn and consolidate cars if need be. I have a (dirty) white Toyota Yaris. A Discover Pass is needed at the trailhead. Pay no attention to the map in the hike description, what you want is Green Trails 204S: Tiger Mountain. Will be ascending T3 by this route, Nook to Talus Rocks to Section Line. We’ll descend on the main trail to T3. This portion of the Section Line trail is “unmaintained”, but it is in good shape. It is steep, 1300 ft. of elevation in .9 miles and there are a couple of spots where you may need to use a hand (a pole can be handy). The total elevation gain is 2000 ft. and it will be a 5 mile hike. As always for after-hour hikes, bring a (working) headlamp.
