Meet at Tradition Plateau TH at be ready to hike at 7:30 am. From I-90 take exit 20 and then turn right onto the frontage road paralleling the interstate. In just under 0.5 mile the road ends at a gate, continue another 0.4 mile to the Tradition Plateau trail head. You will need a Discovery Pass. Expect to finish before noon if no issues arise.
We will be going up the Nook Trail to #3. This is much steeper than the typically used West Tiger #3 route, but not as steep as Cable Line. The trip will be moderate pace with limited short breaks. If you can do Mt Si in less than two hours then this trip is appropriate for you. I doubt we will have any snow or ice (I wish!). We will take a snack break at #3 then quickly hike to #2. Then turn around and head down the Nook Trail to return to our point of origin. If conditions of the Nook Trial are less than desired (realy realy wet) we will opt to use West Tiger #3 as our down route.
Required Equipment
As always, bring your ten essentials, but also think about bringing micro spikes if the weather changes to snow and ice on the trail (Yea, I know, doubtful!).
