We will meet outside Starbucks at 2742 Alki Ave. at 4 PM. The hike will proceed through Schmitz Park, continue on to Me-Kwa-Mooks Park, then return to Alki Ave. Some parts of the trail can be muddy and a little steep through the woods, wear boots or sturdy trail runners. If time allows we will also do the loop up Bonair Drive to the lookout on California Way SW. Views on this hike are out of this world. We will go rain or shine.
You will be astounded by the beauty of old rainforest in Schmitz Park and the views at the top of Me-Kwa-Mooks Park. I guarantee you will see something unique on this trip. In the past we have chosen a restaurant by consensus to eat at after this hike, however you are not obliged to stay and eat. Do bring rain gear and water.
