Meet at 7:30 AM at the  Kitsap Transit North Viking Park & Ride, 21992 Viking Way NW in Poulsbo (near Highway 3/305 Interchange).

From there we will head to the Madison Falls Trailhead which will take about 2 hours of drive time, assuming a very brief pit stop.  The parking area is well signed and there is a gate blocking the now closed road.  A parking pass is required.   There is a pit toilet, otherwise no facilities in the area.  Between 9:30 & 10:00 AM, we will attempt to park up to 3 vehicles and/or shuttle to the Herrick Road trailhead, which is just up the highway and about 10-15 minutes away.

Please feel free to contact those in the roster with open profiles if you wish to carpool.   Any additional stops will be determined to have the least impact on the group's travel time, and 48 hours before the hike.

To help you plan your day, assume 4-6 hours for the hike with an optional dinner in either Port Angeles or Sequim after the hike.

Looking forward to some possible fall color, mushrooms, and critters...This route rolls, may have some wet spots, and does have gain on the way out. Trekking poles recommended. Please be prepared for all weather conditions.  Approx. sunset at 6:10 PM.
