8:30 at Wallace Falls Trailhead
This hike is part of the Conditioning Hiking Series. Please sign up only if you are in the course. (Participants: This is a CHS 1 level hike.) Cool, verdant forests, a rushing river, and spectacular cascading waterfalls - what's not to love! This classic hike is located near the town of Goldbar off of Highway 2. A complete description of the hike can be found in Washington State Parks, A complete Recreation Guide. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at Wallace Falls parking lot. Directions: From Seattle, take either I-90 or HWY 520 to I-405 North. Continue on I-405 North to HWY 522 East. Take HWY 522 East to Monroe. When you get to Monroe, take a left on HWY 2 East (the highway will circle back before you turn left). Continue on HWY 2 East to Goldbar and take a left on 1st street at the small sign for Wallace Falls State park. In .04 miles, turn right on May Creek Road and follow the road to the entrance of the state park, which will be on your left in approximately 1.1 miles.
