Meet just outside the Louisa Boren Park, 15th Ave E and E Garfield Street shortly before 6pm.
This is another hike in the urban adventure series exploring Seattle and environs by night. We'll explore the old "Woodsworth tract," purchased by a Mexican American War veteran in 1900. Elegant homes and an historic district on Capitol Hill color the way. Headlamps should help us find a notable headstone in the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery and the Howe and Blaine Stairs will take us down to Lk Union and back up to the unique Streisguth Gardens. We explore south as far as Mercer, returning north to Volunteer Park with a climb up the Water Tower.
