7:00 AM
Tibbett's Lot (across the street from transit center garage)
1550 Newport Way NW
Issaquah, WA 98027

...or you can meet at the Umtanum Recreation site around 8:45 AM, just let me know so we don't wait for you in Issaquah.

It's a long drive (107 miles each way, total 214 miles).  Please have a full tank of gas or cash to reimburse your carpool driver.  We will consolidate cars at Tibbett's.  Drive is entirely on maintained roads and does not require 4WD.

Naturalist focused hike.  We will hike at a moderate pace with stops to identify plants/flowers.  No naturalist experience required.  The plants out here are very different than other areas of the PNW.  I'll be referencing my books to remember/relearn the species.

Recommended but in no way required field guide (if you can get your hands on a copy, it's kind of rare):  https://www.amazon.com/Sagebrush-Country-Wildflower-Ronald-Taylor/dp/0878422803  If you have charts or guides for inland NW bring those.  Most of what we see will not be in guides geared for coastal/alpine NW.  If you don't have any books or charts then bring an open mind.

Leader will email a map.  Please bring the following:
1.  Your usual 10 essentials.
2.  Full tank of gas or cash for carpooling.
3.  Sun protection.  No shade on this one.
4.  Water.
5.  Camera equipment.  The flowers are amazing, sometimes we see bighorn sheep out here.
