We will be meeting at the trailhead off of Lebers Lane at 8:00 AM. There is a large parking lot and no parking passes are required.
Most of the route is along forest road with the exception of mile 1 from the parking lot. If you are conditioning or coming off an injury, trekking poles might be handy on the downhill.
There will be an optional stop at Dickerson Falls. It is a short steep walk down to the falls, and there are pavers in place to stabilize the trail with rope tied off to hold onto if you do not have trekking poles.
Assuming clear skies, we will hike up to "Zach's Lookout". For those who would like time to meditate, reflect, or try yoga, please bring your mats. We will be on level gravel.
In the event of inclement weather, we may modify the route and follow the South Loop as an alternative for about 5 miles roundtrip, 760' elevation gain...
For naturalists, please note that pileated woodpeckers, songbirds, and frogs are active in the spring.
