8:00 AM at Church of the Nazarine
We will follow the South Fork of Tunnel Creek through a tunnel of towering old-growth hemlocks and fir to the shelter at 2.7 miles. This section is relatively easy with gradual elevation gain. At 0.25 mile beyond the shelter we'll cross the creek on a sturdy bridge and begin to climb steeply 1000 feet in 1.1 miles to Harrison Lake and then another 0.4 mile from the lake to the ridge crest at 5050 feet. Great views of Mt. Constance if the weather permiits.
