Day Hike - Tunnel Creek

A moderate-paced hike up to Harrison Lake via the Tunnel Creek trail. This is a good trip for those working on building endurance and elevation for summer adventures.

  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,450 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph

7:30 AM at Olympia Haggen, ready to go.

If traveling from north of Olympia, we'll figure out another meeting spot (likely the trailhead).

Please read all leader notes before signing up.

The group will decide whether or not to go to 5050 pass from the lake. Should we go to the pass, RT mileage is 9.4 miles with 2650 feet of total elevation gain.

I'm a moderate-paced hike leader. We'll go at a pace that may feel slow to those of you accustomed to going faster, and may push those of you who are working on distance and elevation. My goal is to get the group to and from our destination safely, with time to enjoy the wilderness.
