A nice hike through the woods. We will make a loop by hiking to Talus Rocks then Round Lake and Park Pointe. Bring a sack dinner. Everyone must be capable of a 2 mph pace so that we may return to the car in daylight. Bring a headlamp just in case.
"After Hours Conditioning Hike at a Moderate Pace" is not a series anyone joins. It is a label so people understand that our goal is to:
- Condition for summer hiking - these are "real" hikes. If you do not have a pack with appropriate gear, you are not conditioning.
- Our pace is moderate - about 2 mph (travel time). We have a time constraint in that we need to be back at the cars before dark. Sometimes we need to be back before a gate is locked, If you do not know if you can maintain that pace, please cancel and sign up for a morning hike. That way you can time yourself without getting an entire group's cars locked in overnight.
- The hikes are after-hours. Please cancel and sign up for a day hike if you do not like to hike in the evening.
The hikes are open to all members for whom those goals are a good fit.
Issaquah High School, 4:30 pm. More precise instructions will be provided by email.
