Day Hike - Tolmie State Park

Day Hike - Tolmie State Park

Low tide beach fun and a short forest walk make this Family activity perfect for after school. Be home in time for dinner or bring a picnic for after our hike!

  • Easy
  • Casual
  • Mileage: 3.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 225 ft

We will meet at the beach at the park at 4:00 to spend 45 minutes enjoying the -2.0 low tide. Then we will head into the forest for the beautiful, well signed loop walk.

Be sure to bring beach shoes that can get wet and good hiking shoes to change into.

We hope to see oysters, crabs, sand dollars, cool seaweeds, and shellfish farming. This is a very interesting low tide beach.

A small snack will be provided before heading into the woods, or bring your own.

A Discover Pass is required and parking can be a challenge, especially in the lower lot that is by the beach. Don't be surprised if you need to park in the upper lot and walk down, so leave time for parking.
