This hike is part of the BWT course and students have sign-up preference, but otherwise is open to all members. BWT students, please e-mail the leader for early sign up before general registration opens on July 27 (Leader: Sabrina Oesterle, soe@earthlink.net, 206-361-0716). This hike is in the northeast corner of Mt. Rainier National Park. It is rated easy-moderate. It's 6.5 miles round-trip and gains 1300' on the way in and 300' on the way out. The road from the park entrance to the trailhead at Mowich Lake is somewhat rough, so drive slowly or bring your high clearance car. Views, meadows, flowers.
