Meet at 1pm at the Mud Bay Park and Ride to caravan to the Preserve, which is a 45 minute drive.

This level trail begins at the visitor's center, where kids can view a complete gray whale skeleton. Then a short walk takes us to a boardwalk overlooking the tip of Hood Canal, where eagles hang out and ducks and geese dip and dabble.  Skirt the canal and wetlands as we head for a picnic area and bathroom at 1 mile.  From there, a short walk leads to another boardwalk from which we loop back through a tunnel of trees.  This trail is stroller friendly and we will focus on fun kid activities along the way.  Bring snacks to share.
