Meet at the Mary E. Theler Community Center, 22871 WA-3 in Belfair at 9 am.   If you are coming through Belfair from the north, the community center is on the right at the light across from the elementary school.   I will meet you at the front entrance to the community center, which may or may not be open at this time.

Children accompanied by an adult are welcome but dogs are strictly forbidden  on the trails.  This is an easy hike of a little over 3 miles on flat terrain.   As the trails are so close to an urban area, you really don't need to bring the 10 essentials, however, you should carry a light snack and something to drink and dress appropriately for the weather (sun screen or rain gear depending upon the forecast - or maybe both).     A camera might come in handy as May 14 is international migratory bird day and we might see some of the winged visitors during our walk.  Pace will be moderate but there will be plenty of opportunities to stop for photos.   In addition to the wildlife, the estuary has an interesting history which I will share with you.
