Hike into the Tatoosh Range (M) (GT Mount Rainier East 270, Mt Rainier West 269, Randle 310 - leader will provide suitable maps) 4.5 + miles with 1970 ' elevation gain, 6370' high point. This hike is intended for recent WILDERNESS SKILLS graduates and hikers looking for their first trip into the alpine country, seeing some late wildflower blooms, exploring and getting a brief introduction into alpine scrambling. You've seen the Tatoosh Range from Paradise, now take a closer look at one or two of the more accessible peaks. Only basic hiking skills required, but the terrain includes a summit with wonderful views of the Tatoosh Range. Some experience with hiking at higher elevations is very useful.
