Meet at 8:00 am at the Issaquah Trail Center or 9:00 at Charlies’s in Enumclaw. Directions to Issaquah Alps Trail Center: Take I-90 Exit 17 and turn right. Go about one mile to light on Sunset, and then go two more blocks to Bush Street and turn left. Go two blocks and you will see the yellow Trail Center building and parking area on your left. Hike up the Shaw Creek Trail to Owyhigh Lakes. From here we continue up a well-defined boot route through steep meadows to the east ridge of Tamanos which we follow to the false summit. Expansive views of Governor Ridge and Rainier (weather permitting). (140 mi roundtrip drive to the trailhead from the ITC or 80 from Charlie’s.) No registration, members only.
