Day Hike - Talapus & Olallie Lakes

Using the Pratt Lake TH, we will hike up to Olallie Lake and then to Talapus Lake and then back the way we came. This is a nice spring hike maybe with a little snow.

  • Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,500 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 3,800 ft
  • Pace: 2.0 - 2.2

Besides being safe and having fun, there are two important things to note. Please be certain you can hike at this pace over this distance while gaining this elevation gain and have fun doing it. The second is I don't enjoy hiking in rain. Anything other than showers in the forecast the day before will cancel the hike. There could still be some snow on the trails. If this is reported to be more than 3 inches deep, that will also cancel the hike. So lets hope it is a nice day with a great trail. :-)

Pratt Lake Th. Details to be shared with register hikers the week before the hike
