Meet at 10:30 AM in the parking lot of the community garden on E 42nd St in Tacoma, reached by turning east from Portland Ave. onto E 44th St in the Salishan neighborhood.  Then turn left at the T junction and then right at E 42nd Street, which leads to the parking lot.

From the community garden trailhead, we will hike to the north end of Swan Creek Canyon and back, have our trail lunch at a covered picnic table by the community garden, where  a portapotty is nearby, and then hike to the south end of the canyon and back.
