Monroe Park and Ride, 6AM

This is a loop hike of about 7.5 miles with 3000 feet of elevation gain through a remote desert canyon. Wildlife roams freely here and we may see bighorn sheep, golden eagles, and quail as we hike. For a more complete description, see the WTA writeup: http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/swakane-canyon Be forewarned, the drive is long but it should be well worth it. We will stop in Leavenworth at Andreas Keller for some authentic Bavarian food before returning home. Be sure to bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
