Day Hike - Summerland

Join the Singles Activities Committee on a day hike to picturesque Summerland Camp, one of Mt. Rainier's most famous subalpine destinations.

We will meet at the US Forest Service Ranger Station (450 Roosevelt Avenue East) in Enumclaw at 8:00 am and carpool to the trailhead. 

 

 

The trail begins along Fryingpan Creek and at 1.5 miles the grade steepens.  At 3 miles there is a major stream crossing on footlogs over Fryingpan Creek.  The trail gets steep from this point, gaining 800 feet, mostly in the last mile.
