Day Hike - Stegosaurus Butte

A quick but strenuous hike up to a mild peak with views of Garfield Mountain and possibly more!

  • Moderate
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 2.2 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,100 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,119 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2 MPH

Thanks for joining me on my first led hike! We will be  meeting at the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Trailhead at 9AM and starting no later than 9:15. Feel free to treat this hike as a conditioner if you wish, but note the stated pace as it will  be relatively quick for the gain we see. This is an unmaintained trail, so expect some mud at least, and potentially a small amount of snow if weather has turned by then.

Please note the equipment list additions, poles and microspikes strongly suggested.

Windy Forecast

We will meet at the North Bend Safeway parking lot just off of I-90 (Link here) at 8:15 AM if anyone wants to carpool or sync our location beforehand, otherwise meet at the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead (Link here) at 9 AM. The Middle Fork Road is paved and in good condition but cell service is nonexistant where we are meeting.

From I-90: Take Exit 34 off of I-90 and turn left onto 468 Ave SE. In a half mile, turn right onto SE Middle Fork Road (Forest Road 56). Drive 12 miles to the Middle Fork Trailhead (1,000 ft).
