We actually plan to do 2-3 miles, 350' elevation on this Saturday morning romp thru some rather impressive big trees and lake shore. We plan to be back to the cars by 11:00 am. St Edwards park is located in Kenmore (just north of Kirkland). Kids Welcome! Please download and print map at: http://www.parks.wa.gov/parks/maps/Saint%20Edward%20State%20Park.pdf Directions to get to park can be found at: http://www.parks.wa.gov/parkpage.asp?selectedpark=Saint%20Edward This 316 acre state park has beutiful trails. We plan to go down the seminary trail (#7) to Lake Washington. Then we will follow the Beach Trail (#1) North. Please note that the beach trail is NOT on a beach - but a nice trail that skirts along the Lake. There is no swimming. We will come back via the North trail (#2). Estimated milage is 2-3 miles. We plan to be back to the cars by 11:00am so little ones can be home in time for naps! Folks are welcome to remain after 11:00 on their own and explore the park and playground. You don't need to bring a kid to come on this hike. However, all participants must be signed up (ie have a waiver on file). Contact leaders or clubhouse if you have any questions about how to do this.
