Meet at 10 AM at the trailhead parking lot for the Margaret's Way hike on SR 900, the Renton-Issaquah highway. The trailhead area is owned by King County Parks.
Most of our hike will be on the Margaret's Way trail, which was recently built on land acquired by King County in 2014, that was previously a private camping club. We will have lunch at Debbie's View, which is inside Squak Mountain State Park. Since we are parking on King County Parks land, no parking permit is required. We will be hiking through lush forest and if the weather cooperates, we will have a commanding view of the Renton-Maple Valley area at our lunch spot. Our trail is in good condition and well-graded.
