September 15, Sat. – Spider Meadows, Glacier Peak Wilderness (M/S) (GT Holden #113), NWFP, 12 mi., 1,700’ gain in. Moderate pace. Hike up Phelps Creek through forest to glorious meadows with a tinge of autumn colors and surrounded by ridges and cliffs of high mountain ranges. September is a relatively bug-free time to enjoy hiking in Spider Meadows. Register with club headquarters or online. Limit of 12 hikers.
