Jan. 30, Sat. - Lower South Fork Skokomish River (M) (Mt Skokomish - Lake Cushman Custom Correct or Mt. Tebo USGS) 8 mi., 200' gain. The trail meanders through ancient forest and parallels the South Fork Skokomish River. Some of the trees are over 500 years old, spared from logging in this National Forest. The actual distance will depend on the group's interest, probably go to Camp Comfort and return for 8 miles. The trail received yearly maintenance and is in good condition considering it does suffer during frequent periods of high water. Distance to the trailhead is 22.5 m from Shelton.
