May 22 Sun. – BWT Sourdough Mountain (VS) (GT No. 48 Diablo Dam, No. 16 Ross Lake) 12.5 mi., 5100’ gain. (Alternate 7 mi., 3900’ gain viewpoint and/or loop trip; snow condition dependant). Poles and/or traction devices recommended. Moderate pace. Meet 6:00am at 65th St. P&R;, .25hr (2.5 hr to TH) Greg Gorfkle, 206 352 2909, greg@gorfkle.com (s5/11–5/19) NC Update Tues May 17th : This hike is open to general Club Members. Trail is clear of snow most of the way and snow that remains is hard packed to the summit. Recent hiking group went to the summit without difficultly and no post holing. Wildflowers are in bloom and forecast for Sunday was sunny skies. Possible loop trip out to east side with car shuttle in order.
