Meet at 8 AM at the trailhead in the parking lot east of Chinook Pass on the left side of SR 410.  Each car parked there must display a Northwest Forest Pass or National Park Pass.  If the parking lot is full, park on the north side of SR 410 between the parking lot and the pass.  The shoulder is wide enough to accommodate parked cars for most of its length.  There are four restrooms by the parking lot.

From the trailhead we will hike north on the well maintained Pacific Crest Trail to Sourdough Gap and back, with a rest stop at Sheep Lake on the way up and a lunch break and swim at the lake on the way down.

Following the hike, there is the option for a refreshment stop on the drive home in either Greenwater or Enumclaw.
