Meet at 9 AM at the Enumclaw Ranger Station.
We will consolidate cars at the Enumclaw Ranger Station, leave half the cars driving on the hike at the Crystal Lakes trailhead on SR 410 and drive in the other cars to the Sheep Lake trailhead east of Chinook Pass. Then we hike 2.5 miles to Sheep Lake, where we stop for an hour for lunch and a swim (weather permitting). Then we hike 2 miles over Sourdough Gap to Upper Crystal Lake, where we take a half hour break for a snack and swim (weather permitting). Then we hike 3 miles down to SR 410, stopping briefly at Lower Crystal Lake, if time permits. Then we ride in the cars at the Crystal Lakes trailhead back to the Chinook Pass trailhead and reorganize into our original cars for the drive back to Enumclaw. On the return drive we customarily stop for huckleberry ice cream at Wapiti Woolies in Greenwater. There are restrooms at the Enumclaw Ranger Station and at the Chinook Pass trailhead. A Northwest Forest Pass or the equivalent must be displayed by each car parked at the Chinook Pass trailhead. No parking pass is required at the Enumclaw Ranger Station or the Crystal Lakes trailhead.
