Meet at 9 AM at the Enumclaw Ranger Station.
This is an opportunity to combine the Sourdough Gap and Crystal Lakes hikes, with no more distance or elevation gain than for the Sourdough Gap hike alone. This allows us to visit three beautiful lakes, Sheep Lake and the two Crystal Lakes and also take in the magnificent view of Mt. Rainier from the viewpoint above upper Crystal Lake, where we will have our lunch. We will use enough cars for this trip so we can shuttle back to Chinook Pass at the end in one trip. This may be the first time this hike has been scheduled, so it is a unique opportunity. The Northwest Forest Pass must be displayed by cars parked at Chinook Pass. We will have an opportunity to swim in Upper Crystal Lake, if the weather permits.
