Experience the wilderness splendor of the Soos Creek Valley enroute to our turnaround point at beautiful Lake Meridian Park, where we have lunch at a covered picnic table overlooking the lake.

Meet at 9:30 AM in the parking lot for the Gary Grant Soos Creek Park trailhead on SE 208th St at the 13600 block in Kent, reached from SR 167 by taking the S 212th St exit eastbound, which becomes SE 208th St.   No parking pass is required.

From the meeting place,  we will hike south on a trail through the Soos Creek Valley, experiencing a diverse variety of flora and fauna enroute to our lunch spot in Lake Meridian Park, where we can watch the ducks and geese in and around the lake while we eat at a sheltered picnic table.  Restrooms are available at the trailhead, the lunch spot and two intermediate spots.  This is an opportunity for a wilderness experience close to home.
