Slower but steady loop hike to an alpine lake, with many many flowers on the way to and from. Great views of Mt Adams. This is one of the great flower hikes. Bring plenty of water. Those in Seattle, will meet at the Park n Ride to do more car pooling. Take Kent exit on I-5 (approx 232nd south). Head East and turn left onto Military Rd. Head North a short distance and turn left into the park n ride. We will head to Packwood, and take a forest road to the trailhead. This is a longer hike, which will take advantage of the longer summer days. It could turn out to be one of your favorites. Don't forget your cameras. NW forest parking permit required per car.
