The Snow Lake trail is very popular with good reason. It has great views from ridge above the lake and the lakeside on a clear day. The lake itself is one of the largest and most beautiful in the Snoqualmie region. Midweek in Sept. with an early start it should not be too busy.
I suggest we have lunch by the lake or ruin close by. We will return the way we came. When I scouted the trail it took about 5 hours including a 30 minute break for lunch. There are vault male and female toilets at the start of the trail and an open one close to the lake, plus cover for a trail separation.
Most of the hike is in the shade but sun screen is still recommended. Bugs could be a bit of a problem so long pants and bug repellant are a good idea
