Meet 8am at the Alpental Parking lot adjacent to the Snow Lake trailhead. Please be on-time and ready to go. Participants encouraged to set up carpools on own. An email will go out to all participants the day before. Northwest Forest Pass required for parking.
To get to Alpental Ski Area: From Seattle, drive east on I-90 to exit 52, signed for Snoqualmie Pass West. Turn left (north), crossing under the freeway. Take the second right, traveling 1.3 miles to the end of the road at the Alpental Ski Area parking lot.
Snow Lake is a popular hike with beautiful scenery. This will be a casual-paced hike and we will pace to the slowest person; however, please note that this is a 7 mile hike with approximately 1800 feet of total elevation gain. We will have lunch at Snow Lake and hang out for 30-40 minutes (or maybe a little longer if conditions are right) and then head back down. Sturdy soled shoes/boots with good traction are suggested as well as trekking poles.
