Meet ag 9:30 AM at the Enumclaw Ranger Station, 450 Roosevelt Ave E (SR 410), Enumclaw.
There is only room to park about five cars at the trailhead parking lot, so we will consolidate cars at the Enumclaw Ranger Station. Then we will caravan from there to the trailhead, heading east on SR 410 through Greenwater and turning right onto Forest Road 73, continuing across the White River to the trailhead on the other side on the right. There is a restroom there, but not on the hiking route.
The hike is on a good trail with a fairly even grade through a forest canopy along the west side of the White River. At the two mile point we'll stop briefly to take pictures of Skookum Falls and then continue another mile to our lunch spot in the sun on a sandbar of the river. After lunch we return by the same route.
