I have reserved cabin #5 that can sleep sleep 4 to 6 people (if some don't mind sleeping in bags on floor.) The cabin has a full kitchen, dining area, and fireplace in the livingroom at the Skagit River Resort, 58648 Clark Cabin Road Rockport WA. There are other cabins and camping also available. Call 360-873-2250 or 800-273-2606 for more info on reserving camping spot or cabin. Let them know you are part of our Mountaineer Photo Outing Group. Those sharing the cabin with me can share in the rental cost depending on how many stay in the cabin. I will be arriving around 4pm at the little grey Cabin #5 on Friday. People may come for one, two, or all 3 days. Main meet up will be 7:45 am Saturday morning at the Rockcreek Eagle Center. We will decide where to shoot Saturday morning depending on weather and who might want to go on a float trip down the river. Maps and directions will be given to those who sign up for this outing. This should be an easy trip with driving or floating to spots to photograph eagles. Saturday evening we will be having a pot-luck dinner. Sunday you are on your own to explore and shoot where ever you want to. You may want to go down river to the Skagit Flats to look for swans and snowgeese before returning home. More detailed info to come as it gets closer to date of outing.
