Moderate pace hike to a fire lookout with sweeping views of Mt Rainier

We’ll meet at the TH at 10:45am and start hiking by 11:00am to take advantage of the better weather window in the afternoon.

Steady and sometimes steep climb. Tree covered at the beginning, but exposed at the top. Narrow in places with a few rocky sections. Trail is in good condition overall. Moderate pace expected (1.5 - 2mph). We’ll stay together for safety and slow down if there is extreme heat. No water on the trail so be prepared to carry 2-3L.

**This trip is only recommended for people who have done hikes with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain and 8 miles recently**
