Day Hike - Sequalitchew Canyon & Dupont Bluff
On this Family Adventure we will first meet at the Dupont Museum to learn about the Dynamite train that used to travel to the sound. Then we will drive the short distance to the trailhead and hike the road the train used to take to offload its dynamite onto ships. Snack along the now lovely shoreline and balance on the old railroad tracks before having have a dynamite snack! This hike is for KIDS and their associated adults only.

We will meet at the Dupont Museum at 1:30 and after about 30 minutes at the museum will caravan from there to the trailhead in Dupont. More information will be emailed to participants.
This is a family hike. All children must be registered. All adults must be registered and accompanied by a child.
There is not lower age limit and most of the trail is stroller friendly but we will go at a 5 year old pace.
We will spend time at the museum, which is very good.
Plan to relax along the shore for 20-30 minutes before returning.
This is a fun historical trip to a pleasant south sound beach.
Required Equipment
Family Essentials, including a backpack with waist strap for anyone over about 4 years old.
Adults should have simple ten essentials including a good family first aid kit.
Everyone should have at least water, spare food, spare clothing, bug spray/sun screen, and good walking shoes.
