Day Hike - Section Line Trail

A convenient yet worthwhile workout on Tiger Mountain. A bit of flexibility will tune the trip to the desires of our party. At a minimum, ~2800’ of elevation gain/7 miles round trip, possibly a bit more if everyone is doing great (maybe up to ~3500’ gain total).

[Actual route: up Section Line to W Tiger 3 (high winds), down to Railroad Grade, across to One View, then down to Poo Poo Point/Section Line intersection, finally Adventure Trail to East Sunset Way parking area. Total of 2900’, 9 miles, 5 hours.]

Adventure Trail allows an easy start, then transitions to the steeper yet shorter Section Line Trail for the final portion. We’ll nominally use the same route up and down unless the entire party feels like a bit more. Participants are encouraged to use their full on packs for a better workout (or not, it’s up to you).  A great opportunity to gauge and/or improve your conditioning.  Folks from all walks of life are welcome, hikers, scramblers, and climbers. 

7AM at the East Sunset Way trailhead in Issaquah (accessed via Exit 18) to provide a convenient commute.
