9:00 AM at West side of bridge to Cascade River Rd in Marblemount
Cascade Pass to Sahale Arm of Sahale Peak. The spectacular views begin at the Cascade Pass trailhead! This is one of the classic North Cascades hikes and now is a fantastic time to go there as the wildflowers are all in bloom. We’ll hike to the base of the Sahale Glacier on Sahale Peak. Some of the North Cascades most breathtaking peaks are visible from the Sahale Arm, including Johannesburg Mountain, Magic Mountain and Mix-Up Peak to name a few. Moderately fast pace over the 11 miles (round trip) and 4000 feet of gain. Leader: Tim Nair. 425-891-8668 tim.nair@verizon.net. Camp out on Saturday night in the North Cascades and join us again on Sunday for a hike up to the fire tower on Lookout Mountain, also on located off the Cascade River Road.
