7:30am Poulsbo Church of the Nazarene, 22097 Viking Way NW, Poulsbo, WA.
The hiking plan is to hit the trail by 9:30am and be at Royal Lake by about 1:00pm. We will have lunch there. If we are good with weather and time, and the group is feeling strong, we will continue on up the trail to Royal Basin. This is an open meadow surrounded by snow covered peaks (Mt. Deception) and is one of the more spectacular settings I've seen in the Olympics, well worth the effort to get there. If we do Royal Basin, the round trip mileage will be about 17, otherwise 15 if just to the lake.
