This is a vigorous naturalist hike with frequent stops to discuss wildflowers, birds and anything we see of interest. We will keep a healthy & vigorous pace between stops with the intent gaining significant altitude. However, a co-leader may stay with some at the lower meadow to explore. Others can head up the very steep trail to more open & amazing meadows & a multitude of plants. Reaching the top of Rock Mountain is not mandatory.
Bring binoculars, hand lens & Id books & apps.
