Meet at 9:30 AM Saturday at the B Loop bulletin board of Mora Campground, reached by driving west from Port Angeles on US 101, turning right onto SR 110, shortly before reaching Forks, and right again onto Mora Road at the general store. The entrance to Mora Campground is on your left, three miles before reaching Rialto Beach.
This is a two-day day hiking trip, involving hiking to the end of Rialto Beach, past Hole-in-the-Wall, on Saturday, and the full length of nearby Second Beach on Sunday. The dates were selected to permit us to experience good low tides during our hikes, which allows us to see marine life and rock formations not visible at higher tides. No parking permits are required at either trailhead. Check with the leader for convenient camping options for Friday and Saturday nights. Restrooms are available at both trailheads, at Second Beach, Mora Campground and two nearby general stores.
